Case Studies
Case Study (I): Teacher Created Materials
From Concept to Execution
R&A created a series of four-color science and social studies leveled readers with audio files aligned to the text.
The deliverables were published as both e-books and printed books for classroom use in English and Spanish.
Case Study (II): University of Chicago
Publishing Partnerships: Identifying the candidate; Negotiating Agreements
We guided the development process and identified a publisher for the UChicago STEM Education Group’s NSF-funded middle-school program, CryptoClub, and negotiated an exclusive licensing arrangement.
More than 42 potential publishers were interviewed to determine the ideal partner.
Case Study (III): eDynamic Learning
Product and Marketing Strategies for New Markets and Revenue Streams
We created a development and marketing strategy for converting more than 150 of eDynamic Learning’s online classroom courses to self-study programs for the library market.
We provided templates for several audio and visual prototypes and identified several marketing partners, resulting in an exclusive relationship with the leading media distributor in the public library sector.
Case Study (IV): GoMadKids
Website Product Enhancement, Business Models, and Revenue Strategies
We developed a product and marketing strategy for increasing traffic to the GoMadKids website and driving revenue, and created several monetization plans.
The client’s goal was to increase the value of the website and its proprietary characters and storylines to ready the asset for an acquisition.
Case Study (V): Rosen Publishing
Comprehensive Business Development and Market Expansion
As a successful library publisher of print titles—with five separate imprints—the Rosen Publishing Group was under-represented in the digital space.
We expanded their distribution network to more than a dozen active partners, domestically and overseas, immediately increasing their revenue from their digital offerings with exciting growth potential.
Our efforts led to customized publishing products that expanded the earning potential of existing IP without additional costs to Rosen.
Case Study (VI): Budbeed Learning
Licensing Content and Negotiating Terms for Website Startups and Overseas Markets
We provided general management to Budbeed Learning—locating and licensing world-class video and text content for translation into Russian and Kazakh.
We provided content strategy leadership, website direction, and marketing direction.
In its first year from launch, Budbeed.com won a “cool tool” Edtech Award for self-study.
Case Study (VII): Porsche N.A.
Creating Brand Purpose
To coincide with the launch of their all-electric strategy, Porsche wanted to go beyond advertising and align their brand with a purpose-driven marketing initiative.
R&A created a unique community relations program designed to leverage Porsche’s leadership in engineering, technology, and design with the need to build STEM skills in education. The Porsche STEM Challenge is scheduled to roll out during the fall to middle- and high-schools nationwide.
Building Skills That Help Build Dreams
Case Study (VIII): Creative Structure
Repurposing Best-Selling Content
We worked with our UK partner Creative Structure and the Irish hurling and cycling champion Tony Griffin to convert Tony’s best-selling book, The Teenager’s Book of Life, into a multimedia educational program for middle and high school.
The project plan included new interviews with teenagers and their parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals; on-location video; and interactive lessons and worksheets.
We provided detailed execution plans and pricing for utiliizing a variety of platforms, including post-production activity: online, video, print; and marketing and distribution channels – websites, social media, traditional media, and print distribution.
